1. Story Time: Surviving Disney Feet

This Christmas, my wife and I decided to do something different. Since family wasn’t getting together this year, we spent the day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Now, if you’ve ever been to Disney, you know one thing for sure, you’re going to be on your feet. A lot.

Between walking the park, standing in line (longer than expected, as always), and more walking, my feet were screaming by the end of the day.

Most of us are not used to spending hours on our feet, and by the time we realize the toll, it’s too late.

Whether it’s a theme park, a busy workday, or just life catching up with you, foot pain doesn’t have to ruin your day.

2. Quick Win: Self-Massage for Tired Feet

One of the easiest ways to relieve foot pain (and even prevent it) is self-massage. Here’s a simple routine you can do anytime your feet feel sore:

  1. Grab a Tennis Ball or Massage Ball
    • Place the ball on the ground and rest your foot on top of it.
  2. Roll It Out
    • Gently roll the ball under your foot, focusing on areas that feel tight or tender.
  3. Press and Hold
    • When you find a sore spot, pause and apply gentle pressure for 10–15 seconds.
  4. Repeat
    • Spend 1–2 minutes on each foot.

This technique is great for relieving general soreness and can even help reduce symptoms of plantar fasciitis.

3. Micro-Insight: Foot Care Matters

Our feet do so much for us, yet they’re often overlooked until they start to hurt. Whether you’re walking through a theme park or standing at work, taking a few minutes to care for your feet can make a big difference.

Pro Tip: Regular self-massage, combined with comfortable footwear, can help keep your feet happy and pain-free, even on your busiest days.

Oh, and here’s something to think about, your feet don’t just need care, they need strength too. Strong feet are the foundation of better movement and less pain. But don’t worry, we’ll talk about building foot strength in a future email. Stay tuned!

4. Community Challenge: Treat Your Feet

This week, I challenge you to give your feet some love. Try the self-massage technique twice and see how your feet feel after a long day.

If it works for you (or if you have your own go-to foot care tips), hit reply and let me know!

5. Weekly Mantra: Take Care of the Foundation

When your feet feel good, everything else gets easier.
